Our Story

Mountain View Assembly of God began in October of 1999 as a church plant with the Assemblies of God. We started with four families and originally met in the home of one of those family's. Since that time, we have moved locations several times to accomodate the growth of individuals and families that have made Mountain View their church home.

In late 2011, we moved to our current location, the Rocky Top Middle School, which is located in a quiet subdivision in Thornton, Colorado. However, our church is getting ready to embark on an exciting adventure to build a new church facility, which will be located just north of 144th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. We are calling this effort "Move the Mountain". Construction of this new facility is expected to begin some time within the next two to three years.

Meanwhile, the congregation continues to grow as individuals and families come to make Mountain View their church home. Our impact has greatly increased with twenty-eight active ministries and over 90% of those who attend Mountain View being involved in those ministries and the evangelism of our community.
